Project Bible 365 Day 38 An Eye For An Eye Is Not The Answer
In fact it shouldn’t even be an option marked on the voters ballot box. I feel I must speak and shed some much needed light on the terrible scenes the world has been witnessing not just over the past few weeks but well over a year now. Violence has increased substantially over quite some time now. The question is why?
Why does senseless act like this occur? Because men’s hearts are hardened.
Matthew 13:15King James Version (KJV)
15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
This kind of thing begins to happen because the foundation in which our country was once founded on has been taken out of our schools. I say this with all confidence in my Lord Jesus Christ Once you take the foundations building blocks out of America it will sink faster than the Titanic.
Once the high educators of the school systems took The Ten Commandments out and invited sorcery in school systems nation by nation than this is what the world is left with. The WORD OF GOD stands the test of time. Even though it stands the test of time Men and Women everywhere can still misread more than just some of the meanings parables and scriptures.
Psalm 14:1-3King James Version (KJV)
14 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
One of the greatest misunderstandings people have with the Bible as it relates to the recent events is an Eye for an Eye and Tooth For a Tooth.
Hello World! We are no longer under the Law, we are under Grace.
Romans 12:19King James Version (KJV)
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Now let’s talk about the importance of using social media. Social media is a good tool if used with wisdom. However it can also be a great hindrance. Social Media has become a double edged sword. It’s extremely sad that it has come to that state but it has which is why you won’t find me on Facebook anymore.
So in these dangerous times what should all people begin to do? The ANSWER is show love. Before there was the Beatles Jesus said to show Love to another.
Matthew 5:43-45King James Version (KJV)
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
The world has seen it’s fair share of war , hate , calamity down through the years From ruthless war criminals all the way down to Cain killing Abel over a an offering of fruit, over 6,000 years ago.
Genesis 4:3-8King James Version (KJV)
3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
Don’t you think it’s time for our hearts as a nation as a people and as a united world to LOVE like God loves?
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8King James Version (KJV)
3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
How can we as a people find that peace? The Bible answers this very question.
John 14:27King James Version (KJV)
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
