The Era of Love or Lust Which Is It? Project Bible 365 (Day 16)
Love according to this generation is in question. No one can really give a defining answer as to what love is. Where does it start? Can love even exist in a world that’s full of lust? Well as we all know the definiton of love changes according, dictionaries, romance novels, television shows and of course federal law. In the days where Bibles have been taken out of schools, giving over to diverse doctrine not accordings to the values of God, teenage sex is a common place in today’s society. More youth these days are spending more time showing “their stuff” to the opposite sex and it sickens me as a Christian. Lust in today’s world is a common practice it’s a practice that God does not smile upon but rather it’s a disortion of the Devil. So if God said that men and women should be fruitfull and multiply when it came to reproduction than let us examine the verse to figure out why so many teens and 20 something or others can’t keep their virginity until they are married to the person they multiply with. Ah the flesh, oh how decieving you are. Many people these days will use the verse from Genesis to justify their reasons for their own immoral behaviour. Oh you foolish Galatians. In my stupid youth, I myself fell into this trap, I had no self worth, I had no acceptance and I had someone from my past tell me that “women are like cars, you have to test drive them to see if they are worth buying one you won’t go to Hell for having sex, you’re in college now come on buddy be real.” Actual quote. So I listened to this former friend of mine and I sowed my oats, I’ll tell you the honest truth, I hated myself, I felt so condemned by God that I weeped for a month and I apologized to my mother for disgracing my body. True story.
Since coming into the truth about 1.5 years ago, I have realized something. Women are not like fast cars in which to be test driven. That’s the talk of the devil. Instead woman are precious flowers, each flower is different but each flower presents their own unique qualities that make them stand out in a field. The thing that confuses me as a man are certain groups of ladies.
I don’t understand some women, though, they fight for equality they fight for feminimity
and the use of
sexuality to get what they want. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That is not the way, I don’t care how many wives King Solomon had. Oddly enough the man with the most the most wives once claimed to be great and wise. Oh the flesh how thou art decieving. Before King Solomon gave over to his desires, he once desired to know the spirit of God and he asked God for wisdom. Due to the humility of king at the time, God granted him great wisdom. In doing he wrote a book of wisdom. The book in the Bible that I speak of course refers to the Book of Proverbs. however if King Solomon paid more attention in Hebrew school and less time under the bed sheets, he could have heeded the comments of King Lemuel as he wrote what describes the beauty of woman that keeps her viriginity.
Proverbs 31:10-31King James Version (KJV)
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth theLord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
If a person begins to understand the value of a wedding ring and of course being united as one flesh than that pleases our wonderful God. We serve a great one, the only One. Marriage was ordained by God in Eden. His Word will stand the test of time, no matter who comes aganist it, no man , woman or devil can destroy it.
