The Forgotten Dove & Your Forgotten First Love

he Forgotten Dove & Your Forgotten First Love Project Bible 365 (Day 15)

Tonight’s opening scripture: Mathew 3:11

Matthew 3:11King James Version (KJV)

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Today’s blog post will likely make me very unpopular with the “cool Christians and Catholics” alike.  However I felt led to explain to all of you of why I believe that the church has forgotten the dove and because they have forgotten the dove, they have forgotten their first love. I want to be honest with you though, I’m not here to debate the subject. If you want to see a debate turn on the TV to NBC.

Here is a link to an article featured in Relevant Magazine titled The Rise of The Cool Catholics- interesting read to say the least. ….>The Rise of Cool Catholics150729072251-01-donald-trump-0729-exlarge-169

Through a year and half long study I have discovered there is something different about church these days. During this time of great study I have found out that there are two kinds of people in this world. The Children of God or the children of the Devil. There are wet sinners and dry saints. In today’s devotional I am going to bring you a small list of things  that are effecting the church.

  1. Music, 2, No Tongues of Fire, 3. No blood of Jesus, and 4. Nobody can live free from all sin. The list truly indicates to this man, (meaning me) that the cultural church these days are not recgonizing.

The youth in the ministry is almost non existant. Kids  and teenagers these days  are too busy listening to their rap music and or rock and roll to ever be concerned about what’s going on in the Church. The other half of the population that does not attend church are sports fans and soccer moms.  Most if not all sporting events events happen on Sunday. Sunday is a day designed for Christians around the world to worship  God in sermon and song. However church gets a backseat when it comes tjoneso televised sporting events such as wrestling, boxing, footbool, hockey and yes even soccer.  As I said earlier Sunday should be a day for the Lord. You may ask what exactly is going on in the church that we should know about?  There are many things, I am going to address a few concerns I have.

  1. gallery_images_photo_3316When-Worship-SUCKSmaxresdefault (2)Christian Rock and Rap. A lot of people seem to like this musical genre. If you happen to be one of them I have a question for you. When you picture Jesus, do you happen to happen to see him wear a bandanna, sporting gold teeth or “grills” as  the kids  call it  and or gold chains around his neck? What about picturing Jesus rocking out on a cloud in front of 75,000 angels only to recieve a roar of approval… Ridiculous, the devil makes idiots…. I picture Jesus as a man wearing a crown of rightousness.

How many churches these days are preaching about the blood of Jesus and the power that goes along with it? A classical hymn Nothing but the blood of Jesus is more than just a song, it’s a reality. With the blood of Jesus applied to your heart, you can recieve power to defeat any foe physical or spiritual. However you must allow the scriptures to become a reality to you. If not than how must we as members of Christ  must we  fight the spiritual battles that comes are way?

A word of warning to the preachers, pastors and priests alike you all must remember that we as children of God were bought with a price. We as members of the bridal company need to honour him daily, not just on Sunday but everyday. A lot churches these days don’t preach like they should meaning that the majority of the ministers of God don’t have an altar, they don’t recieve a connection between Holy Spfireirit. A lot of good christians come up lacking in certain areas of their lives because they are not taught about the Holy Spirit in much the same way that Christ talked about while he has was here on earth. He made the Holy Spirit a reality to his disciples. A wittness to that testimony is written in the book of Acts.

Acts 1:8King James Version (KJV)

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

How come ministers these days don’t talk about the need to go to the upper room and get that Holy Ghost fire? The church needs to reclaim that lost fire because that will give us the power we need to take our stand aganist the enemy. However this is a hard task to do when most churches will not preach healing, the blood or speaking in tongues, not at wildownloadl but as the spirit gives you utterance through yeilding to God. If Christ called us to be perfect than why does the church of today believe that no one can live free from sin?  If it is impossible to live free from sin than why did the Apostle Paul tell the church at Corinth these words….

2 Corinthians 5:17King James Version (KJV)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The Holy Ghost is not a new age concept invented by charismatic preachers. We get introduced to the Holy Ghost in the book of Genesis. Where exactly?

Genesis 1:26-28King James Version (KJV)

adam ressurection26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

My final words; “Don’t neglect or reject the fire but rather embrace it.”

This concludes Project Bible 365 Day (15)
